This is one of my favorite projects we have done to date! When Logan from Logan Doerries Designs came to us with this idea for a fun bridesmaid brunch we totally jumped on board. Here is a little more from the stylist herself, "This look was created with tropical florals, bright colors, and a mix of modern and rustic details. The courtyard at Race and Religious was the perfect backdrop for the shoot, considering the venue is surrounded by palm trees, lush greenery, and a picturesque pool, fitting for a bright pink flamingo float. Race and Religious definitely sends you into another world as you step in through their gorgeous wrought iron gates!
My vision was really brought to life by the incredible team of vendors I was lucky enough to get to work with! Lauren with Lovegood Wedding and Event Rentals was the perfect partner in crime. Her collection of rentals include a mountain of stunning vintage pieces, that were used throughout the shoot. My favorite pieces included the black rounded poufs, ivory settee accented with palm tree pillows, and my favorite of all, her bright lemon chairs! The lounge vignette topped with the hanging palm installation was the perfect tropical oasis! For the tablescape, we incorporated a mix of gold rimmed china on top of a wooden farm table, and brought in a pop of color with a hot pink table runner, and bright white chiavari chairs. Hope, owner of The Little Blue chair, created the hand cut wooden name plates, which were the perfect detail to tie in the rustic table with the modern plates. She also designed the watercolor stationary on handmade cotton paper? How Amazing! The table was completed with a stunning floral arrangement that included grapefruits and pineapples a plenty, and mirrored the giant bridal bouquet featuring King Potea blooms and citrus accents. The courtyard was highlighted by the white and green boxwood hedge furniture acting as the perfect contrast against the brick walls of Race and Religious.
The menu was brought together flawlessly by Liberty’s Kitchen, and was displayed on tiers of wood and marble serving dishes accented with a hot pink linen to match our tablescape. The dessert bar was the definition of paradise! The cake was topped with two flamingos to really bring the inspiration full circle! The cake was surrounded with a tiered cake ball display, mini carrot cakes, and tiny key lime pies! All of this goodness was provided by the talented bakers at Gambino’s Bakery. The bright dessert display was offset with rustic lanterns and vintage crates to round out the design.”
