This wedding is truly one of our favorites! When Brooke from Brooke Casey Weddings reached out for this Floridan Wedding we knew it was going to be a good one! A little back story about Lovegood : We are now located in the Bywater part of New Orleans, but we first started Lovegood in Destin, Florida. I was running a wedding venue in Destin and working for a planner as her 'side-kick' while selling antiques in different places around the Panhandle of Florida. I soon found out that clients were renting vintage, antique pieces for weddings and event, and I just had to jump onboard. That is how we started Lovegood, and our first wedding was at Eden State Park in June 2014. This is the same venue for Lacey and Zac's Old Floridian wedding! So when Brooke asked if we would still do wedding in Florida even though we are based in New Orleans we of course said, "YES!" - Featured in The Knot Florida Magazine - Lovegood Collection Feautred : Mismatched Chairs and Martha Rug for Ceremony, Quitman Chairs for Sit Down Dinner with our Classic Farm Tables,
Franklin Bar and Francis Rug, Charlotte Sofa for the Lounge Space, and Antique Record Stand for the Sign-in Table
Our Martha Rug was paired with The Southern Table's florals for the ceremony

Tell us about the dress!
The dress was a blessing in disguise. I flew to Chicago with my sister and cousin to try on the dress of my dreams I had found online and worked with the owners to have the sample in for me to try on. Well, the night before my appointment the owner calls to tell me that they weren't able to get that exact dress in but they one similar I could try on and "hold up the same lace to". Fiasco, right?! I had only made 2 other appointments for that day, my last day in town. So, after a complete disaster of the owners taking 47 measurements and then wanting me to buy a dress I had never tried on - we went on to our last appointment. On the walk there, my cousin suggested we pop into this bridal shop where she got her earrings for her wedding to look at their jewelry. They were about to close, but the dresses on display immediately caught my eye. The sweet lady, who was closing up shop, told me I could grab a couple to try on real quick if I wanted to. I chose three dresses. The first one was a 'no'. The second one I came out in felt beautiful, *HAD POCKETS*, and when I walked out to quickly find tears in my sister's eyes - I knew it was the one!! And we proceeded to celebrate with champagne! (Dress is a gorgeous fitted, all over lace, with a long train that I added a raw edge of scalloped lace to, designed by Inbal Dror from Dimitra's Bridal Couture!
What made you choose Santa Rosa Beach as your wedding destination?
We started looking online for wedding venues first. We knew we wanted to get married outside, somewhere in the South close enough to home, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, and be on the water. When we found Eden Gardens State Park, we drove by around sunset to check it out for ourselves. It has absolutely everything we were looking for, with an added bonus of a gorgeous historic architectural southern house and it felt right as soon as we walked the property! It was perfect because it happened to only be 20 minutes from where my Dad lives and ended up being only 5 minutes from our beautiful reception at The Bay!

What is your favorite memory from the wedding day?
Do I have to pick ONE? When I think back on the day, I think every single moment, every second was my absolute favorite. We were surrounded by every single person we love and who loves us dearly and the day was a magical perfect dream. It was truly beyond every expectation I could have ever imagined. I was a ball of emotions and nerves that morning as we were getting ready, but as soon as I sat down for my hair and makeup a sense of calm came over me. I couldn't wait to see Zac and I knew that as soon as I saw him, everything would feel right again. His face was priceless. We both decided to wear one of his mother's bracelets on our wedding day and the moment I put his on for him was something else. We were both a bundle of all sorts of emotions that day having recently lost his mother to cancer, but we know she was with us. Riding to Eden Gardens in the classic Cadillac with my sister was also an unforgettable memory. Zac and his brothers were riding behind us in a classic Pontiac and I told her as we pulled up that I felt like we were in The Notebook. She looked at me, smiled, and said yes it's like that but only better. This is real life. Walking down the aisle to meet my handsome groom as he took my hand and walked me the rest of the way was such a beautiful moment. THE kiss. And finally, as we sat there at the gorgeous dinner surrounded by all of the florals, family & friends, cakes, delicious food, and amazing speeches from our Fathers, we were overwhelmed by all the surreal beauty. Like I mentioned, EVERY memory from the wedding day was perfect and my favorite. ;)
